Kid Talk or Teenage Talk?

PMom: What did you do at school today?
P: Nothing.
PM: Did you draw (one of her favorite activities at school)?
P: No.
PM: Did you sing (she's been singing the ABC song a lot, so I'm guess she's singing it at school)?
P: No.
PM: Did you go outside to play? (the school is on a park)
P: No.
PM: Did the teacher read stories?
P: No.
PM: OK, then... I thought this kind of conversation didn't start until teenage years???
