Peanut's obsession for the last few weeks: Birds. Peanut wakes up, hears birds outside, she will let you know they're out there. As soon as she's dressed, she wants to go outside to look for birds. All day long she's looking out the window for birds. She wants to read books with birds. I got her a stuffed bird that chirps. She carries it around most of the day. Sometimes she will ask to push the button for chirping sound. Now she'll even take the bird out when we're running errands.
In addition, I found a blog that has very nice bird pictures and videos. Now, Peanut will ask to see bird videos. And by ask, I mean, she literally takes my hand to the computer. She is mesmerized by these bird videos. She loves watching them. It's about the only time she'll sit quietly and calmly for a few minutes at a time.

Kids are so funny that they get "obsessed" over certain things, like DD is totally obsessed with Thomas the Train! Sounds like Peanut would love the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. They have a huge walk in area with lorikeet birds flying over all. :)
