Apparently everything tastes better when fingers are in the mouth.
We have found a winning combination for Peanut: thickened cereal with formula, mixed with baby food. So far, Peanut has had some peas, liked carrots, and LOVED sweet potatoes. This morning she even asked for more sweet potatoes!
