No Naps

Result of refusing nap.  This was at the end of March, actually.   I knew she was tired.  I knew she needed to sleep.  But SHE refused.  Instead, she asked for her turtle.  Then she asked for her blankie.  Then she got quiet while watching TV.  Then, this is how I found her.  She ended up sleeping on the couch from 5pm-7:20pm that day.

Peanut ended up kicking her nap habit for good beginning of April.  Parental mistake #1 was in not moving up the bedtime, which ended in severe meltdowns several nights in a row.  Lesson learned, early bedtime needed.  However, how early was early was surprising.  We eventually learned that instead of her usual 8pm bedtime when she was napping, she needed a 6:30pm bedtime when she doesn't nap!  Hallelujah!  Parents reclaim evenings once again.

Ha-ha. I can't wait for Thomas doesn't have to nap anymore...this way I can actually do "some housework" after he goes to bed. hopefully he will go to bed like Ellie does at 6.30pm when that time comes. ^__^ It is good to know how she is doing now.
