Routine

There's something to be said about having a routine. Peanut has had a bedtime routine for maybe three months now. We bathe, take a bottle, read a couple of books, ending with Good Night Moon, say goodbye to outside, then bed. One day this past week, Peanut was apparently very tired. I tried reading a book with Peanut, and Peanut just did not like it. I tried a couple of different books, and it was the same. Finally, I decided to just go straight to Good Night Moon. Well, lo and behold, she quieted down and sat through the book. I guess she knew that reading this particular book meant she soon will be in bed. And on this day, that's what she wanted. What a smart little cookie she is!
