We love seeing our Peanut at sleep. Check out her Super Peanut pose. Of course we don't see this very often, since she loves to sleep on us, not by herself.Last night was a good night. Peanut slept through most of the night, only waking up to eat once and change diaper once. She went from about 9pm to almost 7am! And Mommy didn't even have to rock her for very long.
One of the DVDs I watched yesterday was from the Baby Whisperer by Tracy Hogg. One thing I learned was to watch for the stages as Peanut falls asleep. I applied what I learned last night and today. Maybe there is something to this Baby Whisperer. Peanut will sleep in her crib without fuss if I put her down 5 minutes after she closes her eyes in my arms. I'll have to keep testing this just to make sure it wasn't a fluke the last 16 hours. Well, I also did return to swaddling her really really tight, like a little candlestick.
We keep debating on whether to dream feed her or not. Supposedly the thought is to sneak in a bottle around 11pm, while she's sleeping, so that she has enough calories to last through the night, and thus won't wake us up to eat. We haven't done this. We don't know if she really will take the bottle in her sleep as these books suggest. Or, she'll just be her normal self, even in her sleep, to reject the bottle when she is not hungry.
